The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joan Rivera can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Lucy H
Condolence: To the Rivera family
I leave my deepest condolences. Its never easy to experience the absence of a loved one. Im sure Joan impacted many people in positive ways and this grants her one of the many accomplishments a person aspires. That is having a good name. The bible mentions in (Eclesiastes 7:1) “A good name is better than good oil” Surely Joan earned a good name before those who surrounded her. Im sure she will be greatly missed. I hope at this moment the Rivera family can take comfort in the words found at ( John 5:28,29).

Condolence: So sorry for your loss Roxi. Joan I met you when I was knee high to a grass hopper. You have been in my life since. Still have the fur coat you sent me all those years ago. You will be missed. Always had a positive word to say no matter how bad the situation was. Prayers to your family. Denise Harnish

Condolence: Joanie. I was a young woman barely out of college when I met you. I remember coming to interview at Steinberg-Kass and being intimated by your big board with all the plugs! I didn't know anyones' hands could move so fast! You were warm and welcoming...and wished me luck. Luck was surely on my side the day I met you. Over the years you continued to be my friend, watching me get promoted, married, have children and eventually leave to raise my family. Not a month went by that you didn't call to check on me for over 20 years. It then became my turn to check on you when you retired. There wasn't a voice you didn't recognize...a name you forgot. You always prayed that I was healthy and safe...I will pray that you are at peace. You will be missed. Theresa xoxo

Condolence: Joanie’s smiling face was the first face I saw every morning at Donegar. She would make all your problems disappear. Having a bad day, she would make you laugh. Rest In Peace, I’ll miss chatting with you.
