Condolence: I'm so sorry for your loss, I remember Frank from years ago when he was the star of Dustin Cohen's documentary short film -- "The Shoemaker." It felt like I knew Frank for years and after watching this wonderful cinematic portrait he was unforgettable. I wish all of you the very best of everything and it leaves me with a very sad heart to know of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. take care. Daniel.

Condolence: It is with great sadness that I have learned of the passing of Frank. Although I have not lived in the neighborhood for many, many years, I remember his shoe repair shop and particularly him as an enduring monument to the neighborhood and my childhood. To this day, his beautiful daughter Jan remains a friend of my heart and a friend for life. This is a great loss not only to his family but to everyone who remembers a sweet, gentler time of stoop ball and punch ball and walking home from school for lunch with neighborhood eyes watching out for the welfare of children who skipped through the streets of Bensonhurst. My deepest, heartfelt condolences...you will be missed Frank. with love, Celeste
